The simple answer is that when the weather is warmer we give them more opportunity, we will often leave windows open, maybe even doors unlocked or open and this gives the burglar the opportunity to get into your house or business.
So however depressing it is to lock and shut your windows and doors when its nice outside, and whether its for 5 minutes or a whole day this simple act will help greatly in preventing your property from becoming another notch on the burglars belt.
