Fire isn’t something you can really take a chance with, there is no compromise, no second chance – FIRE IS DEADLY!!!

So what measures do you have in place for fire detection? if any at all???

Having a battery operated smoke detector installed somewhere in your house is a start, but do you reguarly check it to see if it works correctly?  Are the batteries ok? Will it work in the event of a fire???

One option you can have instead of battery operated smoke detectors (and is recommended by us) is to add wireless smoke detectors to your burglar alarm system – it doesn’t matter if the system is wired or wireless – our range of wireless smoke detectors can be added to any alarm system.

So what’s the difference between your wireless smoke detectors and a battery operated smoke detector?

Quite simply – Lots!!!

Our range of wireless smoke detectors offer the following:

  • Links to the burglar alarm system – this means that should it detect a fire all of the burglar alarm sounders will activate, not just one small sounder.
  • Full surpervision of the wireless smoke detector – this includes radio signal strength, anti-jamming, detector supervision and battery monitoring – meaning that if the battery ever gets low the smoke detector will let you know!!!
  • If your burglar alarm system is monitored (i.e goes through to an Alarm Receiving Centre) the fire brigade can be alerted to the activation, it also means that you can be alerted to a fire when you are not at the building.

Quite simply this is the most effective way of protecting your home or business from fire without going to the expense of having a fully dedicated fire alarm system installed in your property.

I know what I would choose, but then again I suppose I am a little biased!!!

For me, the choice is pretty stright forward:

  • No affect on decor or lifting carpets
  • Easy to expand
  • Easily protect remote buildings / garages
  • Fully featured
  • Cost effective

So the choice is fairly simple, if you are going to think security – think wireless!!

Your CCTV system can e-mail you evidence

The majority of CCTV Systems are what we class as “reactive” rather than “proactive”. Basically people only really use their CCTV system after an event has happened.

For example if a break in has occurred at someones offices, people will  to look back and view what has happened hours after the event, maybe on the morning when they arrive at work.

However being informed of a break in or movement the moment it happens is better and more secure form of security – it makes your system proactive.

Our CCTV systems can detect movement and immediately email you a snapshot of the movement that has occurred, giving you immediate notice of any potential crimes and break ins. In addition you can then access the CCTV system from your smartphone and even talk and speak directly to the CCTV camera to warn the intruder that they are being recorded and to leave site.

An overview of the how the system works and its features are below:

Detect motion
The CCTV system can detect motion, and trigger alarms (such as an email) when motion occurs. 4 different ‘zones’ can be set on the image, and sensivity adjusted independantly. Unlike conventional activity detection, the cctv camera uses vector information to detect motion, therefore achieving better reliability against false alarms.

Receive alerts when activity detected
The CCTV system can send you an email when motion is detected, and include a snapshot of the event. 

View with your iPhone, Blackberry, or other Internet enabled Mobile Phones
Carry access to your CCTV system around with you, and access them using your browser on your mobile phone, or grab a dedicated app for your phone for easy, instant access.

why choose access control instead of lock and keys?

We’ve all seen them before, those massive set of keys on a massive keyring, not knowing which one is which, not knowing how many people have however many keys for all the locks in the building. What about the last owners? did  they give all the keys back??

This is where Access Control becomes the sensible choice

As you can see from the picture above, access control make sense when trying to control the security to your building, one simple proximity fob can control multiple doors easily.

Huge bunches of keys can be common place for some sites, especially large sites with many entrances, but what happens if those keys get lost or stolen? The potential cost of this and both the practical and security implications are huge.

With an access control system should a proximity fob be lost by a member of staff it can easily be deleted, and another fob issued, no need to change locks, no need to re-issue loads of keys, if the lost proximity fob is found again it can easily be re-instated onto the system. No fuss, no hassle, still secure.

This gives the owner of the premises total confidence that their premises is secure, something you just can’t say when relying on a lock and key system.
